STILL WITH ME REVIEW
Still with me by Lily Del Pilar
About Still with me
Broken people always return to the places where they were damaged.
The policeman Jong Sungguk thought that rainy afternoon would be like any other: a new routine inspection in a middle class neighbourhood of Daegu's city, South Korea. He never imagined that in a seemingly normal house would find a dead woman and a boy locked in the attic, named Moon Daehyun, that would change his life forever.
Still with me, an addictive novel of self-improvement—with some suspense—, about the transition to adulthood, the emotional dependency and to search what makes us unique in the world.
You won't be able to stop reading the outcome of Still with you.

My thoughts
This book's insanely beautiful in every single way. Nevertheless, it has some trigger warnings: characters psychologically unstable, addresses sensitive issues and the author requests to read it with discretion.
Jong Sungguk and Moon Daehyun are the main characters. They've one of the biggest character development I've ever read—they're perfectly imperfect. Their relationship screams goals to me and they're adorable.
Moon Daehyun couldn't be more destroyed in the first book and, while I was reading the last pages, I actually felt like a proud mum. I would gladly give a tight hug to (almost) every character in this story—they need it and deserve it (wishing once again fictional characters were real).
I also need to point out the different kinds of love we find in this book. I won't mention them to avoid spoilers, but sometimes we need to experience them through a character to fully understand how that person feels and what's going on inside their minds, even if we don't agree with it. If we ever bump into a person who's undergoing some of the different types, it will be easier for us to understand and empathise with them—and we'll avoid judging them and label them as weirdos.
I've been under a roller coaster of emotions because of the sensitive topics mixed with the sense of humour, mixed with the beautiful values—values that every human needs to read at least once in their lifetime, such as: being different doesn't make us scary; being different doesn't mean we're bad; being different doesn't make us weird—being the way we're make us unique and special. We only need to respect each other.
It will take me a few more days to get over Still with me (if I ever do it). I keep some books, characters and stories close to my heart and both of them are in it. Some books make you feel what other ten can't, and to me this is one of My Golden Books.
